Upcoming trip: Cuba with Princeton BTGALA (everyone’s welcome!)

Coming up this October, visit Cuba with Princeton BTGALA! That’s the university’s Bisexual, Transgender, Gay and Lesbian Alumni Association. Note that even though they’ve planned this trip, everyone’s welcome – no Princeton affiliation needed. You don’t have to be queer, either.
The trip runs from October 7th to the 16th. A $1,000 deposit secures your spot. To reserve your spot, just click the purple button. We’ll follow up with you to answer any questions and discuss payment options. Complete details and a full itinerary are below.
Trip highlights:
- Take part in discussions with Cuban academics on key aspects of the island’s evolving society
- Enjoy private performances and other cultural activities focused on Cuban art, music, and dance
- Visit with the staff of CENESEX, the National Center for Sexual Education, Cuba’s leading voice for LGBT rights and inclusion
- Visit the LGBT beach Mi Cayito with some of the activists who fought to make it theirs/ours
- Pilgrimages to sites featured in Strawberry and Chocolate, the Oscar-nominated film about being gay in Cuba
- Optional evening outings to queer spaces
- All obligatory stops in Havana, such as Old Havana with all its crazy contrasts; Revolution Square; the malecón; and so on
Pricing:
- $3775 double occupancy, $500 single supplement
- 8 travelers minimum, 16 maximum
- Price break of $200 if the group reaches 12 travelers, or $350 if the group reaches 15
