Upcoming trip: Cuba Pride, May 2019!
Coming up this May, visit Cuba for the annual Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia! That’s the Cuban equivalent of a Pride celebration, complete with a march/conga, gala, and more.
The trip runs from May 4th to the 13th. (If you want to come for a shorter trip, join us for just the Havana leg, May 8 to 13!) A $1,000 deposit secures your spot. To reserve your spot, send us a message. We’ll follow up with you to answer any questions and discuss payment options.

To be clear: This trip is open to everyone, ages 18 and up! You don’t have to be LGBT.
Trip highlights:
- Join Havana’s Pride celebration – including the annual conga and festival, the gala, and other activities TBA
- Take part in discussions with Cuban activists and academics on key aspects of the island’s evolving society, like the current fight over marriage equality and turning schools into safe spaces
- Enjoy private performances and other cultural activities focused on Cuban art, music, and dance
- Visit CENESEX, the National Center for Sexual Education, Cuba’s leading voice for LGBT rights and inclusion
- Visit the LGBT beach Mi Cayito with some of the activists who fought to make it theirs/ours
- Pilgrimages to sites featured in Strawberry and Chocolate, the Oscar-nominated film about gay identity in Cuba
- Optional evening outings to queer spaces
- All obligatory stops in Havana, such as Old Havana with all its crazy contrasts; Revolution Square; the malecón (wall along the sea); and so on
